About Me
- Hannah
- My name is Hannah and I am from Kennesaw Ga. I am a junior this year in college at Georgia Southern University. I plan to one day be an elementary teacher in the near future. I have a wonderful family and great friends that always support me no matter what. I have a great boyfriend who has been my best friend for six years now and I wouldn't have it any other way. God has blessed me tremendously and I thank him everyday for that.

About me
My name is Hannah and I am an Early Childhood Education major. I have worked with kindergarten, first grade and now I am working with third grade. I would like to teach first grade one day, but I'm really starting to be more open-minded about which grade I teach. I would like to see all the grades before I make a choice about what grade I teach.

Hey Hannah! I found it so interesting that you have had the opportunity to teach so many grades. So far I have only been placed in a third and fifth grade class. I loved my third grade class, I hope you will too! Fifth grade is completely different than any other grades, in the sense that you do very little hands-on activities and focus more on lecturing. I am hoping that next semester I will have the opportunity to experience kindergarten or first. Good luck this semester in your placement!
ReplyDeleteHey Hannah!
ReplyDeleteHow is hird grade working out for you? Personally, I love it! I think that the students are independent and they are learning new material. Whereas, second grade is a repeat of previously learned materials and 1st grade is learning ABC's and 123's. Mrs. Rollins is great at what she does and you can tell that she really loves her job. I hope all is going well for you in her classroom. Have a great semester!
I know exactly how you feel. At first, before I even began ppb, I had alredy decided that I wanted to teach first grade because I didn't think I would like 4th and 5th grade. I had in my head that the older children wouldn't be as sweet as the young children, but after observing a 5th grade class last semester for a day I fell in love with that age. I'm still not sure which grade I like the most. I'm like you, I want to see all of the grades before making a final decision.
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah! I am so jealous that you have had the opportunity to be in so many classrooms, that is simply wonderful for you! It's good to be open-minded about what grade you get because in some circumstances you don't have the option to choose! I simply fell in love with second grade, and am currently in a third grade classroom! I am sure you will love it as well! Hope you have a wonderful semester:)
ReplyDeleteWow, you have really got to experience a lot of grade levels. The early grades a far deal different than the later grade levels. I have only worked with fifth grade and third grade. I am curious as to how kindegarten and first grade is.
ReplyDeleteHey Hannah! I fell in love with my third grade class. They are old enough to be independent but young enough to still be cute and innocent. I am place at Screven County Elementary for the second time and I love it there. Hopefully you will get placed there during one of your semesters because it is such a great school! I am also going to be open minded as to which grade I want to teach but I am leaning more to the younger ones. See you in class!
ReplyDeleteI too want to teach the lower grades, any below third grade. Through my observations I have also become more open minded. The EIP teacher I am observing teaches multiple grades from Kindergarten to fifth grade. Usually I am there when she is working with second graders and fifth graders. I must say, I am still partial to the second graders.
ReplyDeleteI am the exact same way. I have not decided on which grade I ultimately want to teach. I go back and forth between upper and lower grades all of the time. I'll be teaching English overseas for a couple of years though, so I'll have plenty of time to decide. I hope you have a great semester!
